Gables
Academy wants every child to succeed. For this reason, the admissions
process may be somewhat different than those you've encountered
before. Once a family decides to take a closer look at Gables, the
administrative offices will assist you in making an interview appointment
to meet with the headmaster.
Prior
to this meeting, Gables will request you to fax,
mail or hand deliver:
- Transcripts
of the child's last year or two of school
- A
copy of the child's most recent psychological/educational evaluation
- IEP
outlines
- Any
other testing which may have been done on the child in recent
years
Though all these items are not mandatory, Gables' having access
to them is more beneficial to your child. By the time of the interview
the lead teacher and headmaster have reviewed the paperwork on
a the child, thereby giving you the advantage of making the right
decision for your child based on the evaluation of Gables' professionals.
At the entrance interview, if it is decided by all parties that
Gables is the right setting, the child can be happily settled
into his new school in a very short time.
Financial
arrangements for tuition payment are made at the time of the entrance
interview. Day students have a total tuition package of $17,500.
Resident students have a total tuition package of $46,900. This
tuition is based on a traditional nine-month school year, generally
late August through early June. Registration for the six week
sessions of summer school and camp are handled separately.
Gables
Academy enrolls students without regard to sex, race, national
origin or creed.
