Dr. Meffen, Headmaster at Gables Academy and founder of "The Edge Program" considers the misbehavior of "At-Risk Teens" to be the result of unresolved trauma or underlying learning, emotional and spiritual issues that have gone undetected or untreated for years.

There is learning and behavioral science that lend itself to identifying and treating these issues. It is no great secret that beyond science lays an art in administering that science. That art is the art of applying multiple techniques that science has to offer in concert affecting the desirable behaviors in the shortest time possible while habituating them for the long term. It is this place of art that our "Edge Program" lives, applying best practices in psychology, psychiatry and education with spiritual guidance thus producing the emergence of a newly restored teen.
